How To Setup Multi-Language IVRs

  • Login to the system administration

  • Navigate to 'IVR'

Create 'English' IVR

  • Click on 'Add IVR'

  • Set IVR 'Name'='English'

  • Set IVR 'Number'='1000' for example

  • Select the 'Greeting' file with instructions in English

  • Set option '1'='1001' (1001 will be used for 'French' IVR)

  • Set other IVR options per your needs

  • Click on 'Save'

Create 'French' IVR

  • Click on 'Add IVR' button

  • Set IVR 'Name'='French'

  • Set IVR 'Number'='1001' for example

  • Select 'Greeting' file with the instructions on French language

  • Set option '1'='1000' (1000 is 'English' IVR)

  • Set other IVR options per your needs

  • Click on 'Save' button

So, let's say that DID takes all calls to 'English' IVR '1000'. Instructions tell you to press '1' for French language and play other IVR options in English. You press '1' and are redirected to 'French' IVR '1001' where  instructions tell you to press '1' for English language and play other IVR options in French.
